Twisted Sister will release its new DVD, 'Metal Meltdown Live at the Hard Rock Casino Las Vegas—A Concert to Honor A.J. Pero,' on July 22 via Rock Fuel Media in association with Loud & Proud Records. In anticipation, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere its clip (directed by Brian Lockwood) for "The Price." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Shot on May 30, 2015, Twisted Sister performed 90-minute concert of its biggest hits spanning its 40-year career. The show was dedicated in honor of Twisted Sister's drummer, A.J. Pero, who died two months earlier of a heart attack prior to the filming of this event. He was 55.

Twisted Sister recruited drummer and friend of A.J. Pero, Mike Portnoy (of The Winery Dogs), to take the reins—and his very first Twisted Sister appearance was captured by the "Metal Meltdown" camera crew.

Guitarist Jay Jay French said, "The decision to continue performing all the summer shows in 2015, not to mention the concert that this performance celebrates, was in jeopardy over the days immediately following A.J.'s sudden death. We needed time to regroup and refocus. Everyone was great. All the promoters of the huge European summer festivals that we were set to headline and Barry, the producer of this concert said, 'We understand. You all (meaning the band) have to do what makes you comfortable. Whatever the band decides has to be honored and respected.'

"In the end, I believe we did what A.J. would have wanted us to do and Mike Portnoy was a very big part of that decision in both an emotional and artistic way. This performance captured herein just two months after A.J.'s death really was about our way to help memorialize the great A.J. Pero. The front four (Dee, Eddie, Mark, and I) have had no one but A.J. behind us since 1982. This concert has A.J.'s influence permeating through our bloodstream in ways that I will never forget and when we cut to A.J.'s drum solo on the rear projection screen, We were all emotionally overwhelmed. Not since our reunion for NY Steel in 2001 (to honor and raise money for the families of the NYC police and fire department who died on 9/11) have I been moved to tears."

'Twisted Sister: Metal Meltdown Live at the Hard Rock Casino Las Vegas—A Concert to Honor A.J. Pero,' features that complete concert, as well as 'Rockshow,' a bonus documentary that takes fans through the band's 40-year ride from local club outcasts to world domination with exclusive interviews, archive footage from the '80s, photo gallery. It was mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound. The retail package includes both Blu-ray and DVD formats as well as an audio CD. To get 'Metal Meltdown,' visit Amazon or iTunes.

Supergroup Giraffe Tongue Orchestra—which features Alice In Chains' William DuVall, Mastodon's Brent Hinds and The Dillinger Escape Plan's Ben Weinman—has released its new song, "Blood Moon." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

The band will release its new album, 'Broken Lines,' on September 23 via Party Smasher Inc./ Cooking Vinyl.

When asked about 'Broken Lines,' DuVall shared, "Writing lyrics for these songs was somewhat like writing for film–the mood shifts rapidly and drastically within a song… sometimes the whole scene changes. There were a lot of times where, if you were trying to impose conventional rock songwriting standards on this, you'd be in a whole world of trouble. As unconventional as the creation process was, what brought the core of the band together was simple–mutual admiration and friendship."

Weinman adds, "Brent, William, and myself have all been friends for a long time. Finishing the GTO record with William completes the puzzle. He is a man of diverse talents, and this band gives him the opportunity to spread his wings."

Hinds explains the band name saying, "During the time Mastodon was there for Soundwave, I was at the zoo in Sydney, Australia and was checking out the giraffes. They are amazing animals–one just grabbed a bunch of bananas from my hand with its tongue and peeled them with it as well–by the time the bananas got to its mouth, they were ready to be eaten. I saw Ben who was at Soundwave too and said, 'Man I think I found the name for our band,' and told him the story."

Slayer and Dark Horse Comics have teamed up to deliver a new comic series this winter.

With full participation from the band and taking inspiration from Slayer's recent 'Repentless' music videos, Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse) will pen the three-issue comic series with interior bloodlines drawn by Guiu Vilanova (Twilight Zone, Conan the Avenger, Weird Detective). Glenn Fabry's covers reign in blood while postmortem Eric Powell (The Goon, Hillbilly) will illustrate the variant cover for the first issue.

"I think of the songs I write as stories," Slayer's Kerry King told Rolling Stone. "And if nothing else, they are certainly visual."

As announced in May, Slayer's live undead appearance at Comic-Con will begin on Thursday, July 21, with a special sold-out concert performance at the intimate-capacity House of Blues to a crowd of die-hard fans.

Slayer will appear at Comic-Con for two exclusive signings on Friday, July 22. Nuclear Blast America (booth #501) will host the band from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Dark Horse Comics (booth #2615) will host both the band and the comic's creative team for a very limited engagement from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Limited edition posters will be provided.

Slayer: Repentless #1 (of 3) is on comic stands in December 2016.
