List: 10 Adult Coloring Books for Metalheads
The trend of adult coloring books has been flourishing in recent years, not only because it helps adults get back in touch with their youthfulness, but also because studies have shown that the act of coloring can help relieve stress (which us damn editors need). The practice dates back to the early 20th Century when renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung applied coloring as a relaxation technique for his patients, most notably by using illustrations of mandalas. The adult coloring business has since become so lucrative that thematic books of all varieties are now available, including ones geared towards metalheads.
Most recently, Mastodon revealed an exclusive vinyl pre-order bundle for their new album, ‘Emperor of Sand,’ which included a coloring book jacket. This special-edition LP is only the most current example of coloring activities geared towards rockers as there are plenty of other metal, Satanic and horror-themed books out there. So break out your red and black crayons because here's 10 off-color coloring books for headbangers. Check it out!
