KITTIE FACE $5 MILLON LAWSUIT
American Youth Symphony, producers of the Oxygen Network show America’s Hot Musician, have filed a complaint, against Canadian nu-metal band Kittie. The complaint, which can be read here, stems from the musician-centered talent program’s featuring former Kittie bassist Talena Atfield as one of its judges. The program used footage of Atfield performing with the band in its “What I Always Wanted” video, for which, the producers say, they obtained permission from the legal owners, Sheridan Square Entertainment. The complaint alleges that Kittie interfered with production, libeled and slandered the production, and defrauded the United States Postal Service, among other claims.
