METAL ALL-STARS FROM SHADOWS FALL, JUDAS PRIEST, AND MEGADETH RECORD DIMEBAG DARRELL TRIBUTE

“Leave It Alone” is a new tribute song for slain Pantera/Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott recorded by Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, sometime Judas Priest/current Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, and Diatribe guitarist Tristan “1690” Grigsby. It will be released to radio on May 6 and made available as a download via iTunes, with proceeds benefiting the Little Kids Rock school program, which assists children in learning musical instruments, something Dimebag himself encouraged. “It was a lot of fun to help write and record this tune with some great musicians and friends, and it goes to a great cause!” says Owens. “So I would love for the fans to get off their asses and buy this tune for charity and not just a charity…it’s Dime’s charity. For once, don’t download it for free!” The group recently posted it to this MySpace page.

The song also features solos by former Grim Reaper guitarist Nick Bowcott and fan Brian Cashmore. The group got together and jammed at this year’s NAMM convention in Anaheim, California. Check it out below.
