NEW MUSIC OUT TODAY: 7/08/2008
All the new albums you need to know about, hitting record stores on this day of our lord, July 8, 2008. And Executive Editor Brandon Geist’s pick of the week.
B’S PICK: Melvins - Nude With Boots (Ipecac)
Good shit out today. On most other dates, the new Cult of Luna or the Moss or the Whitechapel or the Cannibal Corpse triple-DVD could easily top the list. But when there’s a new Melvins album out, and that album’s one of their rocking records—not one of their noisy, “experimental,” annoying discs—well, that shit just gotta be the one. That said, Nude with Boots is a little noisier, more experimental, and more annoying than (A) Senile Animal, but fuck it, it still rules.

Equilibrium - Sagas (Nuclear Blast)
Grand Magus - Iron Will (Rise Above)
