Last night (September 19th), Stray From the Path drummer Craig Reynolds kicked off his residency with the 8G Band on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and did so with style. Perhaps his proudest moment came, not while he was drumming, but when he cracked up guest John Oliver.
The British comedian and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver star was talking to host Seth Meyers about the death of Queen Elizabeth II, when he turned to Reynolds, also a Brit, and offered his condolences. "You know what? I didn't know her," the drummer responded in beautiful deadpan that had Oliver literally slapping his knee in laughter. Watch below.
Reynolds's stint on Late Night With Seth Meyers continues through September 22nd. Previous drummer to guest on the show have included TOOL's Danny Carey, Deftones' Abe Cunningham, Lamb of God's Art Cruz, Mastodon's Brann Dailor and Gojira's Mario Duplantier.
