Photos: Anthrax at the Big Four

Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax, performing together as the Big Four, stormed New York City’s Yankee Stadium yesterday for triumphant sets. Revolver‘s own Stephanie Cabral was there and captured the mayhem in the photo pit. Check out pictures of New York’s hometown heroes in Anthrax, who released their first new album in eight years, Worship Music, on Tuesday.

yeah too bad yankee stadium didnt handle the show properly.  they wouldnt let you get to the gates until 2PM, the line then took AT LEAST 2 hours.  i got in the parking lot at 11AM and didnt get inside the show until halfway through Anthrax’s set.  fucking bullshit treatment if you ask me.

They had two lines for GA access.  One outside and one inside from what I heard.  I had seats so I got in and saw the whole thing.  Sounds like they did handle the GA access poorly though.  I hung at the Hard Rock and bought Worship Music, getting a wristband to meet Anthrax and get it signed after their set.  That went a little poorly too, they were late getting started and I missed the first half of Megadeth.

I had general admission. We got to the parking lot at 1:30. Got in the LONG line at 3:00. About 30 minutes later, a cop came around and took a bunch of us to a different, almost empty line. They confiscated my belt. :( The worst part was the lack of organization the “line” to buy shirts. Took me 15 minutes to get a Big 4 shirt. Got on the floor during Anthrax’s first song. Best show ever.

Got there at 20 after 2 and was on the floor before 3. I saw this show in Indio too. I liked each of these shows for different reasons.
