So are you some review blogger or just a fan?

The lead singer of Converge is Jacob Bannon, not Kurt Ballou

I stopped reading shortly after you said you've written off the entire Mastodon catalog aside from Crack the Skye, easily the most mainstream and listener friendly thing they've done. Not a bad thing, but I'm amazed so many people think it is their best album.

Thanks for the heads-up. Much like Revolver does, and usually admits, I fucked up. It's fixed now... and to answer your question, I'm a little bit of everything. I suggest you pick up where you left off and finish reading. :)

I'll think about it. And, being a journalist, I can see you clearly sidestepped my question ;)

Everybody knows the album has references to his sister. It's common knowledge, so you would anybody need to bring it up again? Mastodon have not been cryptic on the subject.

The cluelessness in that fails to the ignorance in walking up to a total stranger and asking them about their dead sister.
It's going to happen, obviously, but Brann has 1000 more times the right to write about something like that than some random dumbass has to come up and ask about it, no?

Yes, to write about something like that, fine... but to express it explicitly and to the wider public is just asking for it. (I also personally believe that subject material should be vague when it is discussed by the artist himself.)

The reviewer asked the question in bad taste, sure (I found it funny), but incidents like this would be inevitable, and to complain about their happening would be naive...

Ahh fair enough, I thought you were saying that since he talked openly about it, it's ok for someone to come up and pop that question.
