For the Fallen Dreams vocalist Dylan Richter Lists His Most Terrifying Nightmares

The music of Utica, New York, melodic hardcore band For the Fallen Dreams can be pretty hair-raising—as they've demonstrated again on their third album, Backbreaker (Rise), which hits stores tomorrow—but not nearly as frightening as frontman Dylan Richter’s warped nocturnal visions. In between presumably sleepless nights, he shared the following bad dreams with us.

If I don’t wake up
“Whenever I remember my dreams, they’re always fucked up. Most of them are very weird and consist of me not knowing who I am anymore or being in a place I can’t define. I always used to have this dream where I would wake up and think I was awake, but I would still be very much asleep.”

Drowningman
“Sometimes I dream that I am in a room with no doors or windows and it fills up with water all the way to the top with no way out.”

Nameless, faceless
“Sometimes I dream I’m in a creepy town and someone is following me, but I could never see their face.”

Hey man, nice shot
“Just the other night, I dreamt I got shot in the face and lived, but my features were totally destroyed and I couldn't do anything about it. My friends and family didn’t even know who I was.”
