Hear Deafheaven's Majestic New Song "Honeycomb"

Black-metal shoegazers reveal lead single from highly-anticipated fourth LP

UPDATE: Deafheaven have officially announced their fourth album, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. Their Jack Shirley-produced New Bermuda follow-up hits shelves on July 13th via ANTI-. They've also announced a slew of summer tour dates behind the record; the North American trek, which features support from Drab Majesty and Uniform, kicks off July 11th in Phoenix, Az. Check out the album artwork below, accompanied by the band's itinerary.

San Francisco death-gazers Deafheaven are back with a majestic new song, "Honeycomb." An optimistic ripper flush with full-bodied guitars and — as always — the infernal screams of frontman George Clarke, it marks the first new music from the band in three years. Check out its accompanying 8mm-home-movie-style visual now, and find the lyrics below.

Deafheaven are set to release the follow-up to 2015's excellent New Bermuda LP sometime this year. The band shared photos from the studio on Instagram earlier this year, including a shot of Clarke recording with Chelsea Wolfe, who is expected to appear on the new album.

"Honeycomb" lyrics:

shadows extend east
and Cortazar stares at women shuffling by who blot their lips from violent men
and say "god bless you"
I sulk with pause and
loving mariachi soars against the red and yellow tents of strangers
gifting geese the ends of bread.
8, 12, 13 hours and the people keep fighting for sleep, for rest...

i'm reluctant to stay sad life
beyond is a field a flowers
my love is a nervous child lapping from the glowing lagoon of their presence
my love is a bulging, blue-faced fool hung from the throat by sunflower stems
