Hear Joey Jordison–Helmed Supergroup Sinsaenum's "Lethal" New Song "Sacred Martyr"

Dragonforce, Once Human members also appear on ferocious single

For the past few months, extreme-metal supergroup Sinsaenum has been revealing pieces off their upcoming sophomore LP Repulsion for Humanity, which is due August 10th. Today, they've dropped their newest single, "Sacred Martyr," which features guest vocals from Lauren Hart of Once Human. Right from the beginning, the song is a throat-tearing all-out assault; it eventually settles into a groove for both Hart and the vocalist Sean Zatorsky (Dååth) to create a chorus of screams over. The back half of the song is where things really kick into gear, with drummer Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls) hitting the absolute hell out of his kit while the Frédéric Leclercq (Dragonforce) and Stephane Buriez shred out riff after riff on their dueling guitars.

"In a way, Repulsion for Humanity almost feels like this is our first album," said Jordison, who, unlike on the group's previous releases, recorded this record in person with his bandmates in France. "Them giving me ideas and being able to construct the tracks together as a band made for a killer foundation for the rest to build upon. This album is lethal, and the songwriting has evolved immensely."
