Hear Mars Volta's Striking New Song "Graveyard Love"

Prog-rock band's second single since returning from 10-year hiatus

Last month, prog-rock luminaries the Mars Volta have spontaneously returned from a 10-year hiatus by dropping a new song and announcing a big fall tour. The cult-adored band comprised of ex-At the Drive In members Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala went on indefinite hiatus in 2012 after releasing their sixth album, Noctourniquet, that same year, but now they seem to be back in the full swing of things, as they've released yet another new song called "Graveyard Love."

Like last month's "Blacklight Shine," this one also comes with its own short film, which you can watch above as you take in the lush, dynamic, and emotionally striking soundscapes of their latest musical venture.

"They will seek your ruin, and burn your lands, because if they can't have you, no one can," Bixler-Zavala said of the lyrics in a press release.
