An homage to one of his favorite bands growing up

With millions of global streams and over 250,000 TikTok followers to his name, Mad Kelly is a rising force in the current nu-metal revival. His 2022 EP, Human, showcased his original music, but his latest release is a cover: a reverent rendition of Disturbed's 22-year-old nu-metal classic "Stupify," a formative influence on the young vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer.

Today, Revolver is stoked to premiere the cover along with its high-energy music video. Mad Kelly does a great job recreating the Sickness standout while also giving it a dose of modern hip-hop sleekness, and he throws himself fully into performing the song in the clip.

"Disturbed was one of my favorite bands growing up," Mad Kelly says, "so I wanted to pay homage to their iconic sound while flipping it with a fresh nu-metal style. Working with Killvein and Tom Kaduk to produce this track felt effortless and allowed me to accomplish the sound I envisioned."
