OK, this sounds like an urban legend, but actually appears to be real.  A dog ran away from home and made its way into Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, where it happily watched Metallica's entire performance there on Friday, August 25th.

Seriously. This doggie, later to revealed to be named Storm, somehow snuck out if her owner's house near the venue and independently made her way into the venue and up into seating section, where she was photographed sitting and grinning widely while Metallica ripped through a powerful set.

Notably, that particular Metallica show broke the SoFi Stadium's record for attendance, drawing roughly 80,000 to the venue and besting the crowds that both Taylor Swift and the 2022 Super Bowl drew to the same location!

That statistic has somehow become even more impressive now that we know one of the concert-goers was an actual dog! Even Metallica got a kick out of the whole thing, and they shared an update on their social media pages that not only confirmed Storm's unbelievable night out, but also assured fans that she made it home safely the next day.

"You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to SoFi Stadium and made her way to the gig all by herself.

"After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including "Barx Æterna," "Master of Puppies," and "The Mailman That Never Comes."

"And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn't bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day."
