Butcher Babies, the metal band fronted by Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd, have put their own spin on Saweetie and Doja Cat's 2021 rap hit, "Best Friend." Of course, the Babies' version of the sultry song has been reconfigured into a ferocious metal track, but their NSFW music video keeps the vibe of the original intact — with BFFs Harvey and Shepherd plus their bandmates and a whole ton of metalheads taking over a strip club.
It's definitely a unique take on Saweetie and Doja Cat's version of "Best Friend," which peaked at No. 29 on Billboard's Hot 100. We'd be surprised if Butcher Babies' mosh-worthy take ends up on Top 40 radio, but hey, stranger things have happened. Watch and listen above via YouTube.
