See Metallica Play Acoustic "Disposable Heroes," "Sandman," More at Charity Event

Thrash OGs stripped songs down for intimate All Within My Hands benefit concert

Metallica took the stage at San Francisco venue The Masonic on Saturday (November 3rd) and played a very special acoustic set, with 100 percent of the profits going to their nonprofit foundation All Within My Hands, which benefits food banks across America and cancer survivor support groups. With a set list packed with hits like "The Unforgiven," "Enter Sandman" and a cover of the Bob Seger classic "Turn the Page," the band gave the capacity crowd of 3,5000 a unique intimate experience, not to mention the personal fulfillment of knowing that their money was going to a reputable organization for good causes.

See below for more fan-filmed footage from the performance, which saw Metallica joined by guest musicians who filled out the acoustic renditions with unique instrumentation including a mandolin and pedal steel guitar. Kentucky rock band Cage the Elephant opened the show, playing their own acoustic set. Fans paid anywhere from $250 to $6250 to attend.
