See Poppy Bring Masked Metal Insanity to WWE NXT

Singer performed singles "I Disagree" and "Scary Mask," played pro wrestler Io Shirai into the ring

It's no secret that we here at Revolver are big fans of Poppy's deranged mash-up of bubblegum pop and screeching heavy metal, which hearkens back to the genre-smashing glory days of Mr. Bungle and their recklessly border-crossing ilk, not to mention her flair for phantasmagorical costumes and music videos. Ahead of her highly anticipated new album, I Disagree, due in January via Sumerian, the singer made a mind-blowing appearance at WWE NXT in Orlando, Florida, where she performed the title track to her forthcoming LP as well as her collaborative single with the Fever 333, "Scary Mask," the latter played during pro wrestler Io Shirai's entrance. Poppy was joined by her backing band, the Icky Babies, who, decked out in long blonde wigs and very creepy human-face masks, did their best to steal the show. Watch the live music-meets-pro-wrestling insanity above and below, plus a backstage interview with the singer at the event.

P.S. Props to Triple H for consistently bringing badass heavy music to NXT.
