Can a band be quantified by the sum of its parts? If so, then Pyrolatrous is off the charts.
Composed of members of Hull, Anicon, Krallice, Woe and more, the Brooklyn-based four-piece primarily toil in black metal, adding in touches of melody, hints of d-beat and death metal throughout to keep the proceedings brutally memorable. The band's 2017 release Teneral highlighted some of those unique songwriting approaches, but it's live where a true understanding of the band's abilities shine through.
As such, we are proud to present a trio of videos from Teneral: "Soulless/Disintegrator," "Obeisance and Unrequited Adulation" and "Become the Earth," all culled from a live gig at Union Pool in Brooklyn on November 11th, 2017. The tracks give a true scope and depth as to the astonishing technical abilities of this band as well as their jaw-dropping songwriting skills.
Catch Pyrolatrous for yourself at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn this Sunday, March 25th (with Skullshitter, Syndromes and Necrot) or at Migration Fest in Pittsburgh this July.
