Are Faith No More Writing New Music?

Faith No More haven’t released a new original music since 1997′s Album of the Year. The band reunited in 2009 and has been playing shows, but now the group is hinting that they may be taking the next step and actually writing new music together. Yesterday, Faith No More tweeted the following message along with the photo of vocalist Mike Patton below:

Hey! Stay tuned for more Tweets from Twats!!! The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative.

This would kick SO muck ass! Love a lot of what Mike has been doing, Peeping Tom, Tomahawk to name a few, but nothing beats the original!

the original would be mr bungle

Chronologically speaking, I am sure you’re right, but I doubt I ever would have heard of Mr. Bungle if not for FNM. Either way, new music would be a blessing to longtime FNM fans. We can only hope this cryptic message means just that.

    Not without Jim Martin

    Jim Martin! m/

This is EXTREMELY exciting. Sorry, but no way Jim Martin will be involved. It’s the same lineup from the reunion tour.

Shut the fuck up about Jim Martin. Dude’s been gone for 20 years and they have written two brilliant albums without the guy. Jon Hudson is awesome, a working man, plays all songs perfectly and helped write the great Album Of The Year, so i am not worried.

Wow, so hostile, need a hug from someone man?

Good to know and hopefully get some new FNM and a tour would be awesome to see again. Thanks for the news Revolver.

Since Mr. Bungle have made it very clear that there will be no more albums from them, which is sad, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s stoked to learn that Faith No More are writing new material and may be releasing a new album in the not too distant future.
