Axl Rose Says Guns N’ Roses Have Two New Albums Completed

The new issue of Revolver features an exclusive interview with Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose–you can read an extended excerpt right here. In the interview, Rose reveals that GN’R have two new records already completed, a remix album of songs from 2008’s Chinese Democracy and what he calls “the second half of Chinese.”

“We recorded a lot of things before Chinese was out,” Rose says. “We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of Chinese. That’s already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese. That’s been done for a while, too. But after Vegas [Guns N’ Roses is performing a residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that runs through June 7], we’re going to start looking very seriously at what we’re doing in that regard.”

I for one am excited to hear this. Chinese Democracy was a much better album than it was given credit for. I understood a lot of the criticism(overproduced, took too long to release, etc) but there is good music there if people would only listen with an open mind.

Agreed emphatically. Chinese Democracy is underrated and I hope it develops a proper following after enough time. I’ve also seen them play live to support the album and they are awesome live.
