Chuck Shaffer Picture Show Win 2012 Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands, Spot on Uproar Fest

Richmond, Virginia’s Chuck Shaffer Picture Show have been chosen as the winners of the 2012 Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands powered by Imagen Records.

Taking home the grand prize means that the band takes home $10,000 in music gear, a chance to record an EP with producer Jam Baumgardner in Hollywood and a coveted spot on next year’s Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival.

“The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is the ultimate summer rock tour and we are so honored to be a part of the 2013 experience,” said guitarist/vocalist Ryan Johnson. “We’d like to thank Ernie Ball, Imagen Records, Rockstar Energy Drink and all of the judges for believing in us and welcoming us into the family.”

Chuck Shaffer Picture Show were picked as the grand prize winners after becoming one of 28 local finalists. The final group was evaluated by a panel of music industry professionals and artists including: Jose Mangin from Sirius XM, Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance, legendary producer/mixer Jay Baumgardner, and music industry veteran Bill McGathy.

“We had a lot of great bands competing for the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands grand prize, and it was hard to narrow it down to a single winner,” says Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival co-producer John Oakes. “It was clear that the Chuck Shaffer Picture Show really connected with the audience at the Bristow, Virginia Uproar show. That’s what pushed them over the top for me.”
