Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor proved that he’s most definitely down with the kids when he performed at the It Takes a Community benefit concert this past weekend. The event was organized by Staind frontman Aaron Lewis, with all proceeds going to local elementary schools. During his set, Taylor performed a selection of songs, tailored, of course, for the younger audience, including Slipknot’s “Snuff,” Stone Sour’s “Bother,” along with a medley of Stone Sour’s “Through Glass” spliced with Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes.”
It was Taylor’s parting tune that really had the kids in raptures, though, as he paid tribute to everyone’s favorite sponge by singing the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song complete with a choir of local children. Take a look at the audience-shot video below and let us know what you think of Taylor’s rendition.
