A string of hard rock’s top names have committed to being a part of a new tribute album to Ronnie James Dio. So far Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Alice Cooper, Lemmy (Motörhead), Sebastian Bach, Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), and Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) are confirmed for the project which is being compiled by Dio’s widow, Wendy.
For the album, which is expected later this year, Grohl will be covering Black Sabbath’s “The Mob Rules,” while Halford will perform the Rainbow track “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
