Exclusive: Black Lodge Premiere New Music Video, “Never Clean”

Black Lodge have premiered the music video for their track “Never Clean,” which is the first taste of the band’s upcoming album, The Diary of Tomahawk. You can watch it below.

The Diary of Tomahawkis a 13-song concept album, which tells the story of a young girl named Tomahawk, who after enduring a horrifying experience within her family, begins practicing Dark Magick, and discovers a world of shadows interlaced within her own reality. Black Lodge are offering “Never Clean” as a free download, along with the first chapter of the accompanying graphic novel. You can grab both under the video.

The Diary of Tomahawk was recorded at The Realm Creative with co-producer Jeordie White/Twiggy Ramirez (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) and producer Lee Miles (Rise Against, Puddle of Mudd).

Black Lodge lead guitarist Johnny Royal remarks, “Jeordie’s musicianship is extraordinary. He has become a mentor and a great friend to the band. Lee Miles brings a powerful dynamic to our recording sessions and when combined with Jeordie’s ethereal approach to songwriting, an explosive dark soundscape is materialized throughout The Diary of Tomahawk.”

The music video for “Never Clean,” was shot on location in Big Bear, California, and was directed by Tanya Dahl of The Realm Creative. Artist Wayne Robinson (Marvel Comics: Wolverine, Captain America) illustrated the graphic novel for The Diary of Tomahawk.

These guys have more talent than all of our asses put together. When gifted people dedicate their lives to something they love they can make some wicked sh*@ happen! Haters are skeptical Black Lodge will be successful at selling their music. I’m skeptical people hating on Black Lodge are not legally considered mentally retarded. They obviously grasp the concept of marketing as well display themselves as seasoned musicians which they have every right to. “Juke”, in regards to your comment. You must be the clown because anyone can see these guys know what they are doing. Again you said you did say that ‘prior to listening’. So I too hope you thought they were good. We are only getting a glimpse of the stuff these guys can do, specifically the drummer (J.G.) who I have know for years and have seen playing drums religiously in and out of great bands, bands that made unforgettable music. The rest of the Black Lodge members all share equally the same diehard amount of musical talents. I love the theme and I love the concept. They really are pulling it off.
