The five of us look good!! Turn it up nice and loud people, and enjoy! Can’t wait for everyone to hear the whole thing.

Giant Squid are great and you have no excuse to not listen to them!

Giant Squid once again pulls out its tentacles and slaps modern sludge metal across the face. This album will crush you like that one scene in “The Abyss.”

  • Aaron, Giant Squid fan

Been a fan (and eagerly awaiting every release) since Metridium Fields.  Wasn’t there something about an Ichthyologist comic?  Whatever… new stuff sounds killer and The Ichthyologist was a great follow up ‘Fields.

    Fantastic, as always.

There will be an LP version that comes with an accompanying Comic Book early to mid next year! The comic book is written and drawn by Aaron Gregory of Giant Squid! Its going to be epic!

Awesome, where is the repeat button I can’t get enough.  Looking forward to the entire release!

Awwww shit yeah. Giant Squid’s one of the best damn bands around these days, and this rad new song totally proves it.

I’m stoked for the new album, and even more stoked about the comic coming with the vinyl release next year.

Didn’t really dig it that much when I first heard it on Bandcamp, but now it clicked and it’s awesome.

Giant Squid kicking ass, as usual!

While I enjoyed it from the start, it took me a while to really get into it.  Giant Squid will always have the right to multiple listens before I truly judge how well it works for me.  The first time I heard a track from The Ichthyologist it left me a bit confused.  After it’s release and looking back now, it’s hard to say any album since has affected me the way it did.

This song is beautiful and haunting.  I am very excited to hear the longer works in the coming weeks.

It’s the same for me, this is such beautifully layered music that a single listen can’t fully reveal the intricacies of the piece

    is jackie pregnant?

    • Aaron Gregory

      Yes.

      • Richard Move

And so is the guy on the far left, apparently.

The only time I feel the word EPIC is appropriate is when I hear Giant Squid.

And it’s not just because they’re awesome. They’re awesome people too!!!!!
