Exclusive: Hatebreed Premiere New Lyric Video, “Put It to the Torch”

Today we are proud to unleash the first music from Hatebreed’s upcoming new album, The Divinity of Purpose (Razor & Tie), to be shared anywhere, with the lyric video for the song “Put It to the Torch.” The highly anticipated record is set for release on January 29, 2013, in the United States/Canada.

“I’m pumped for everyone to check out our new song,” frontman Jamey Jasta says. “Thanks to all of our fans for the continuous support! We’re super excited to release new music and hit the road hard in 2013!”

    It’s time for Hatebreed to retire. They haven’t released anything substantial or hardcore for that matter since Supremacy. The new song is shitte just like their last self titled cd. For new fans, listen to early Hatebreed when they were hardcore, had great lyrics and stood for something.

      stood for something? have you actually listened to ANY Hatebreed? they have always stood for something, and have always meant to be more than just screaming guitars and yelling about death. Dont like the new flavor, fine. dont like the song topics, fine as well. but they have ALWAYS stood for something. talk your shit to one of the many people Hatebreed as pulled back from the ledge.

        Wow Dave…Hatebreed have made path for many HC bands that are now tearing it up – but have always held strong and have done nothing except stand for something……the only difference at all in anything they have done is add heavier guitar breaks in their songs – which has only increased how heavy a band they are – when was the last time you went to a Hatebreed show? I was at one just last month….tell the crowd they aren’t hardcore anymore….yeah, right…..was just as passionate and hardcore as it was when I saw them on the first album…..better now, I believe.

      Listening to Hatebreed’s music is the only thing that keeps me from going off my “rocker” with someone as uncreative as you! Their music is a release of the pressures in life. Go out and get one and maybe you’ll understand. Put it to the torch!!
