Exclusive: Lonely Kings Premiere New Song, “Promises,” Featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach
Lonely Kings will release their new album, American Heartache, on September 3 via Epochal Artists Records/Capital
Music Group. An anticipation, the band has teamed with Revolver to premiere the single “Promises,” featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach.
“Love these guys,” Shaddix says of the collaboration. “True American punk rockers with hearts of gold and a
record that captures the spirit of passion and conviction that gives me faith in music.”
“Jacoby and I have been friends since ’99,” comments Jake Desrochers from Lonely Kings. “We hit it off immediately and I was elated that I had finally met someone that talked about band life more than I did. We have similar lives with music and family and the balance between the two. He has been a major influence on my life as a musician and a father. We have a strong connection. I wrote ‘Promises’ as a testament to my commitment to my kids, wife, and band. He came to the studio that day to help with vocal coaching but ended up singing and really was able to indentify with the meaning. He pushed me hard to make the lyrics honest and straight forward. They are words I live up to in my every day life and I’m entirely grateful to have his guidance, friendship, and support.
