Exclusive: Owl, Led by The Cult Bassist Chris Wyse, Premiere Cover of The Kinks’ “Destroyer”

Los Angeles-based rock band Owl–featuring The Cult bassist Chris Wyse on vocals and bass, as well as drummer Dan Dinsmore and guitarist-vocalist Jason Achilles Mezilis–-is set to unleash its new album, The Right Thing, on April 9 via Overit Records. In anticipation, the group is premiering a new track right here right now: a cover of The Kinks classic “Destroyer.”

“‘Destroyer’ is such a great classic and The Kinks were always a favorite,” Wyse says. “Covering the song was an instant fit for Owl–we took a really fun song and put our own stamp on it. We liked the way it turned out so much that we made it the opening track on The Right Thing.”
