Exclusive Premiere: Pop Evil’s New Video, “Monster You Made”

Michigan-based hard-rock outfit Pop Evil release their long awaited sophomore album, War of Angels (eOne), on July 5, which features the hit singles “Last Man Standing” and “Monster You Made,” a song which frontman Leigh Kakaty says depicts what the record is all about. In anticipation of the new album, the band is exclusively unveiling the new music video for the latter track–directed by Robby Starbuck, who has previously helmed clips by August Burns Red and Asking Alexandria–right here!     Wow-that was really done well! I love this band. War Of Angels has blown me away. I especially love the fact that they brought great bold vocals and harmonies and some tempestuous romance in there for good measure. Excellent album, I highly recommend it.
    And would love to have one of those mirrors.

    Powerful….. though the note at the end has me perplexed…it looked like the song and video were going along together and then at the end..?? Is he saying goodbye to death or to the girl that was in the video? Almost seems like a suicide note…call me sappy but I was hoping that he was going to walk into a rehab at the end :P    Can someone clarify for me? I think I may be missing a bit of the concept on this one….BUT I STILL LOVE IT and the song!!!!

    I loves me some Pop Evil but am I the only one that notices a ton of similarities to the 100 in a 55 video?  When it first started I thought I was going to be viewing the same video.

    I love this band a lott they r seriously my idols…i’ve always really loved music n wanted to do something in my life with my passion,and everytime i listen to this song or any of their songs especially on war of angels it just makes me push myself harder. Love you guys and this is an amazingg video so glad its finally goin to be out!!!

    Great video! They keep getting better and better! See similarities to “100″, but video matches the depth of the song. If MTV gets rid of all of the reality show and back to some music, we may get a chance to see this vid more and more!

    I <3 PoP Evil and this whole album is amazing! I agree the beginning is a lot like 100 in 55 video, Great job but i think for the future they need to start showing more of the rest of the band not just leigh (who is wonderful dont get me wrong). I think it be nice to show the other guys like tony and matt emotional and part of the song too.  It would have looked really cool if each member had like a shot in front of all the mirrors showing they too are "monsters" and trying to find themeselves.
    But what do i know i am just a huge music fan not a big time video director lol

    Another amazing video and song from my most favorite band in the whole world! Top notch, class A stuff from the greatest thing to come out of Michigan since the automobile and Kid Rock!!! My two fav. songs off War of Angels are Boss’ Daughter and Last Man Standing. Monster You Made is in a close third ;)

    Hrm, not sure what people are talking about a resemblance to 100 in a 55 video – the videos are totally different – maybe some same notes?  WTF?  Anyway, I do agree that we need to see more of the other band members since all of the are so ***HOT***!   ..and I am still waiting for my chance to dress Matt up like Manson etc….

    I think people might be referring to the story-line. You know with the chick walking out and all. The storytelling is different though. Guess it all depends on how each individual views the video. I love it guys…of course!! Amazing song and amazing video from a bunch of amazing guys!! <3

    I LOVE this video! This song is so flexible in the ways it helps people cope. No matter what the monster we all have to deal with one at some point in our lives. Mirror shots were awesome, band scenes were awesome, all in all the whole video was awesome. Please don’t ever stop making beautiful, beautiful music! :)
