Exclusive: Silence The Messenger Premiere New Song, “Sirens”

Today, RevolverMag.com presents the exclusive premiere of “Sirens,” a new song by San Antonio metal act Silence The Messenger.

The track is from the band’s new album, Achilles, which will be released October 15 via Standby Records. It was recorded at Studio D in Cleveland, Ohio with Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.

Heavily influenced by anything that’s fast and heavy, Silence The Messenger’s sound is derived from a mixture of old and new metal such as Slipknot, Behemoth, Whitechapel and everything in between. To expect anything less than an aggressive, violent and pissed off creation would be asinine.

“We’re not here to reinvent the wheel, we’re here to play pissed off, heavy music that we love for as many people as we can, and have a great f**king time doing it,” says frontman Steve Tinnon.

To pre-order Achilles, visit standbyrecords.merchnow.com. For more about the band, visit them on Facebook.

Eh..Expected a lot more after waiting for fucking ever to hear new music from these guys.
They make themselves seem “big” but when it comes the music aspect of it. I don’t see it going as well as they plan.

I like the song, but I know what you mean. It’s been quite the wait since Buried and I guess I was expecting more. But I’m not sure what I was expecting, so I’ll take what I get haha but yeah hopefully they don’t over ‘hype’ the music if it’s not gonna do what they expect.

So far, so good. The mix seems a bit flat, but I’m liking the new direction.
