Pantera were never ones to shy away from a good jam. And one of their best took place in San Jose, California, in 1994 when the band welcomed then-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted to join them in ripping renditions of his band's "Seek and Destroy" and "Whiplash." Even cooler, Phil Anselmo and Dimebag Darrell swapped places, with Anselmo riffing--and even soloing--on guitar and Dime taking up the mic. Phil calls the ad hoc supergroup Pantallica--which does sound a helluva lot more badass than, say, Mantera. But whatever you choose to call it, the undeniable fact is that it's fucking awesome.
