Guns N’ Roses Nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction
Guns N’ Roses are one of 15 finalists named for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for next year. Ballots will be sent to a voting body of over 500 rock experts with the nominees who garner the most votes being named in January. Those victorious, generally between five and seven artists, will be inducted at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 14.
Artists are eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first album, meaning this is the first time Guns N’ Roses could have been nominated. Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, was released in 1987.
Other artists up for induction next year include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Cure, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Heart.
