Leading up to the end of the year, Revolver has asked some of our favorite artists to pick their Top Albums of 2012 and tell us why each record rules. Here, Jamie Preciado (pictured left), bassist of the post-hardcore band Pierce the Veil, selects his faves.
5. Fun, Some Nights
"You'll never replace the band The Format, but this record came pretty damn close."
4. Deftones, Koi No Yokan
"I'll always love this band and this being there seventh record, they still surprise me with cool jams."
3. The Weeknd, Trilogy
"Even though he released all these songs years ago, this new remixed and remastered version still gets me every time."
2. Imagine Dragons, Night Visions
"From hearing this band at a dive bar months ago to hearing them all over the radio now, they've definitely blown up. I'm stoked for them."
1. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Heist
"This record is just an all around great record. What he stands for and what he believes in are things that definitely stand out in his music. Plus the beats make me wanna dance and I hate dancing."
