The lineup for the inaugural 2014 Louder than Life Festival--which will be held October 4 and 5 in Louisville, Kentucky--has just been announced; alongside whisky and “gourmet man food,” Judas Priest, Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, Papa Roach, Mastodon, and many others are slated to perform--you can see the full bill above.
“Louisville is known for a lot of things,” festival creator Danny Wimmer says. “But I don’t think people realize what a great rock town this is. When I first came to Louisville, I fell in love with the city, its diverse food, its bourbon and its culture. It screamed ‘Louder than Life’ and I felt this was the perfect destination for this kind of rock festival. I’ve created the Louder than Life festival to highlight and celebrate the ‘Culinary Capital of Bourbon Country.’ And of course, the culture of rock and roll and bourbon go hand in hand!”
“Louisville is a city we enjoy performing in and the fans always create a great atmosphere for a Volbeat show," Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen comments. "We look forward to October. It will be a great time for all.”
Tickets for the fest will go on sale June 13 at 10 a.m. ET, with a discounted pre-sale launching June 10. Click here to see the pre-sale deals.
