On October 4-5, the first-ever Louder than Life festival will bring music, whiskey, and “gourmet man food” together in Louisville, Kentucky. Guaranteed to get a “Shit yes, Son!” at your next backyard BBQ!

As many of you know that follow me on the various social networks (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook), I spend a lot of time at the gym lifting weights and practicing Muay Thai. The LAST thing I want to do after sweating off all of those calories is to head back home and put a bunch of junk back into my body. However, I’m a big dude (6′ 2″, 220 pounds) and LOVE me a good burger. The following is a recipe for one of the best tasting burgers you’ll ever taste – and one that also happens to be damn good for you!

Ingredients (recipe makes 4 burger patties):

  • 2 pounds Ground Bison
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar style Almond cheese
  • 1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1/4 Worcestershire Sauce
  • Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Burger Buns
  • Garlic power
  • All Natural Butter

How to cook:

Heat grill to 475 degrees.

Combine 2 pounds of ground Bison meat, 2 cups shredded Cheddar Style Almond cheese, 1/4 cup Bragg Aminos All Purpose Seasoning, 1/4 Worcestershire Sauce into a mixing bowl. Generously shake garlic powder to the mixture and hand mix until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.

Divide the mixture into four burger patties of equal size. Place burgers on the grill for 6 minutes each side (12 minutes total cook time).

Lightly spread butter onto the inside of the Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Burger Buns. Place directly onto the grill for one minute and remove.

Add burger patties to burger buns and top as you like. One slice of an organic tomato usually does the trick for me! Pair with a couple of pieces of locally grown, organic yellow corn.

Insert burger into mouth and with a full mouth exclaim, “Shit yes, Son!” Wash it all down with an all natural Virgil’s Root Beer and you’ve got yourself a meal fit for a Revolver Golden God!
