NSFW: The Most Insane Album Cover Sent to Us this Week 7/14

Satanic goats on metal album covers are a dime a dozen. Venom, Bathory, Slipknot, and many, many others have been there, done that, and frankly, there’s not much shocking about the image of a bleating, cloven-hoofed ruminant anymore. That said, a bat-winged goat with three boobies balancing a lit candle on its head isn’t something you see every day. But what really takes the cover of the forthcoming album from Chile’s Unaussprechlichen Kulten (say that three times fast) over the top is the substantial Satanic goat wiener poking its head into the picture like an invited guest crashing a black mass. The proximity of the Baphomet beef bayonet to the emaciated ghost child in the artwork only makes things more uncomfortable. Said youngster looks away, and we wish we could, too, but there are just too many other unseemly details holding our eye–from the newborn offering to the old-lady side-boob. So we just stare, shake our heads, feeling dirtier and dirtier by the second. Thanks a lot, Unaussprechlichen Kulten.

An article about artwork and not a single mention of the artist who did it? That’s just lazy.

Looks a lot like the Spanish Artist Francisco Goya’s Witches Sabbath.
