Ohioan death-metal outfit Embalmer originally released 'There Was Blood Everywhere' in 1996 on Relapse Records, and it has since become considered by many to be the cult release issued by that heralded label. The EP has just been re-issued by Hells Handbangers on 12" vinyl with bonus material, and we couldn't be more stoked. Not only it is spilling over with excellent splattery, groovy gore metal, but it features one of the greatest pieces of cover art by metal cover art master Wes Benscoter, who also created many a piece of art for Revolver. Really, all death-metal bands should have a demented slasher killer write out their album title in blood with the stump finger of a severed hand.
