Photos: Van Halen, Live in New York, including Set List and Gear Shots

Van Halen played a special, invite-only concert Thursday night at New York City’s tiny Cafe Wha? venue. The band, which consists of frontman David Lee Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, and drummer Alex Van Halen, played the show to announce its new album, A Different Kind of Truth, which will come out February 7, followed by a North American tour that will last from February to June. Revolver Senior Editor Kory Grow was at the show, about five feet in front of Eddie Van Halen, and was able to capture some shots on his iPhone, so we apologize about the quality. A shot of Eddie’s pedal board, amps, and the set list are at the end.

I think it’s shitty that the guys didn’t even bother to contact Michael Anthony about the tour, but I’m sorry, I don’t care. I so want to see Van Halen with Diamond Dave!!!
