Last week, we posted our picks for the Best Music Videos of 2011, bestowing top honors on Skrillex’s “First of the Year (Equinox).” Then we asked you to vote on what you thought was the best video on that list. Below, you can see the Top 5 results of the poll, as well as read a quote from the artist behind your pick for the best video this year, which won by just a slight margin.

    Congrats to Meats Meier & Puscifer… I saw them live earlier this month in Mesa, AZ… It is an awesome experience seeing them live- the production that goes into it… Hope those fans in those states get the chance to see them!

      If you don’t like the music at the time, there’s nothing inherently wrong with music, it’s music. There’s something wrong with YOU. I didn’t like this track at all when I listened to it the first 5 times, but after a week or two I started to understand it and it grew on me. You just don’t have any patience young padawan.

        Dear Kody, I am a huge Tool fan and understand the greatness of Maynard.  This was the best video of the year by far- incredibly well-made and I voted for it obviously.  But, I’m not a huge fan of the song.  So, don’t sit up on your soapbox and tell us something is wrong with US if we don’t like the tune, itself.  You can’t expect everyone to like what you like young Kody.  However, definitely best video BY FAR!!  and I will be enjoying my Tool shows in January.  Thank you.

      But they weren’t… Lack of originality I feel… reminds me of new PaPa Roach/Fallout Boy/New Avenged Sevenfold and every other teen pop emo band. Broaden your taste. Don’t fall victim to the majority and be led like a sheep.But if I’m right, you’re probably in your teens and you might acquire a taste for diverse music.

    Mister Keenan… Is a Fantastic man, artist and inspiration. I am from Ontario and get the wonderful experience of front row seating to the TOOL Concert on January 26th as well as the omg I am going to scream and have a fit experience of 3rd row seating at the Puscifer concert March 10th.. All I can say… is there is no other like the Mister Keenan.. No other.. I am not able to get out to often due to a disability… HOWEVER!!! THIS IS MAYNARD… and yea.. I cant and wouldnt miss it for the world.. I sometimes wonder if he realized the magnitude of impact he has on all his fans. <3 Sooooo happy they got number 1!!!!

    This is the most amazing thing ever, people with actual talent and creativity won first place? That never happens, esp in these dumbass magazine polls. Revolver is OK I guess, better than guitarworld tha’s for damn sure, their polls are so fixed/irrelevant/misguided/useless, and downright dumb as hell. But I can’t be too excited, because it comes as no surprise that some “band” called Falling In Reverse would come at a close second….a video that literally took no creative thought to produce……..by a band that took no creative or artistic thought to form…..with a lead singer that probably can’t even spell art much less understand it. Ripping off Avenged Sevenfold is not art, esp when you’re ripping off a band that rips off other bands that have sucked the most in the history of the world. I wish this whole 80′s trend would fucking die.

    When he comes back to STL I’m definitely going. Kicked myself in the ass when tool came to stl in June 2010 and when puscifer came in November of this year and I didn’t make it to either one. Been a fan since I was a young teen, 25 now. I listen to his music every day, no lie.
