Staind Announce Special New York Show to Benefit Families of 9/11

Staind has announced they will be playing a special show in New York City to benefit the families of 9/11, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. The concert will take place at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square on September 15, two days after the release of Staind’s new self-titled album. All tickets for the show are priced at $9.11, with all proceeds going to the families of the victims of 9/11.

“As the release of our new album coincides with the 10th anniversary of 9/11, we wanted to use the attention to make the point that there is still much work for all of us to do,“ Staind frontman Aaron Lewis explained. “We are deliberately making the ticket price $9.11 to underscore the point that if enough of us do just a little bit, together we can make a big difference in the lives of the families who’s members made the supreme sacrifice for our country.”

Tickets will be available for purchase on September 12, at noon, through staindbenefit911.com. Members of Staind’s official fan club, Dysfunction, are able to purchase tickets immediately through dysfucntionalstaind.com. Fans not able to make the show in person will be able to watch a live stream over at staind.com.
