Street Drum Corps’ Bobby Alt Remembers Avenged Sevenfold’s The Rev

This week marks the two-year anniversary of the untimely passing of Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. To mark the occasion, all this week on RevolverMag.com we’ll be bringing you memories of the Rev from his friends in the hard rock and metal community. Up next, the recollections of Street Drum Corps’ Bobby Alt.

“I remember being on the Vans Warped Tour in 2003 with my band S.T.U.N., walking around in Boise, Idaho, when a little kid with an Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt pulled me over to see them play. Knowing I was a drummer, he had me watch Jimmy play. And boy could Jimmy play.

“Play on Jimmy, Play on! You will be missed, my friend. He is now with Krupa, Bonham, and Moon, the drumming gods in the sky watching over us! He will be missed by many. Fans, family, and friends.”
