Video: Down Perform New Song, “The Misfortune Teller,” Live

There’s still no firm release date for Down’s as-yet-untitled EP, but the band have been breaking out a new track live on their current mini-tour. You can check out fan-filmed footage of “The Misfortune Teller” below.

In what’s proving to be a busy year for Phil Anselmo, the singer is also touting the release of his debut solo album, which is tentatively scheduled for a later 2012/early 2013 release date.

Anselmo’s first solo effort sees him backed by Houston-based guitarist Mazi Montazeri. “If Ozzy Osbourne had his Tony Iommi and then found his Randy Rhoads when he went to do his solo stuff,” Anselmo said, “I have found my Randy Rhoads.”
