This Halloween season, Winds of Plague vocalist Johnny Plague is launching his own haunted horror attraction, Haunted Hollywood Sports, with the help of a team he’s assembled and dubbed the Monster Squad. Below, read what he has to say about the project and check out behind-the-scenes pics.
“After spending the last eight Halloween seasons working both Production and Talent for Knotts Berry Farms Halloween Haunt, I have decided to take my passion for the ‘haunt industry’ to the next level by launching the ‘Monster Squad,’” Plague says. “My team is made up of friends, family, and past coworkers who are all driven by a similar passion and love that I hold for all things horror. This year we have invaded Hollywood Sports Park in Bellflower, California, and are currently transforming it into Haunted Hollywood Sports. The Monster Squad has designed and are building four walk through mazes, two ‘Killhouses,’ four scare zones, and a 21-plus bar hosted by some pretty sweet vampire babes. We are also handling recruiting the actors, as well as executing the event itself.
“What sets us apart from most haunts is the enormity of our event. It is spread out over 23 acres and our “Killhouses” offer a one-of-a-kind exeperience you will never forget. Each one of the two Killhouses offer a different scenario where we arm you with state of the art Airsoft gun and you find yourself having to fight your way through either the zombie apocalypse or a cursed bayou inhabited by some pretty vicious beasts. Haunted Hollywood Sports offers something for everyone and we really hope to provide a new badass event for the greater Los Angeles area.”
