Meet Alien Weaponry: Watch Fun 2016 Doc on Teenage Kiwi Thrash Band

Alien Weaponry are one of the most exciting young metal bands in the world right now — three New Zealand teenagers who celebrate their Māori heritage in thrashing song and often sing in the Māori language Te Reo. Already celebrated in their native country, the trio is set to make serious waves abroad with the June release of its debut album . So you can get to know them better, we're presenting here a super fun short doc on the band, which was shot in 2016, in their hometown of Waipu, previously best known for its nude beaches. See the boys talk about converting their neighbors to metal, how they met on an online forum for "idiots" and dispel haters' claims that they shouldn't be singing in Te Reo since they're "white."
