Review: Warbringer - Worlds Torn Asunder

With their third full-length album, L.A.’s Warbringer have come into their own, penning a dynamic record heavy with apocalyptic disillusionment and technical proficiency. Tracks like “Living Weapon” and “Savagery” possess layers of chainsaw riffage and snarled vocals, while chargers “Tracherous Tongue” and Enemies Of The State” keep the album’s momentum from slipping. But it’s duo of the instrumental “Behind the Veils of Night” and cinematic closer “Demonic Ecstasy” that establish Warbringer as a band built for speed but not shackled to it.
