Mötley Crüe have unveiled the details of their 2013 Canadian tour, which marks the most expansive run of Canada in the band’s history.

The 18-date tour kicks off April 20 on the West Coast and runs through May 14 when the band completes the tour in the nation’s capital. This will be the only time the band will perform in Canada in 2013. Mötley Crüe will be joined by Big Wreck; the full tour is been listed below.

The quartet — Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee — became the first rock band in history to complete an epic sold-out Las Vegas residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Mötley Crüe have lured Canada’s Big Wreck to join them on the massive tour. Big Wreck frontman, songwriter and producer Ian Thornley’s “well-schooled Zeppelin inspired rock” secured the Rock Album of the Year Juno nomination for Big Wreck’s current album, Albatross. The five-piece guitar-laden band is sure to bring their sing-a-long radio hits such as “The Oaf,” Blown Wide Open,” “That Song” and “Ladylike.”

For more information on Mötley Crüe and VIP tickets for the tour, visit motley.com or the band’s Facebook page. For more about Big Wreck, visit bigwreckmusic.com.

This is not so much a Big Wreck reunion as it is guitarist Brian Doherty joining the self-titled band frontman Ian Thornley started after the two split up a decade ago. But we’re not quibbling. Albatross, which went Top 5 in the group’s native Canada last year, is an engagingly diverse set that’s a bit kindler and gentler than Big Wreck’s first two releases but still shows that Thornley, Doherty & Co. know how to bring the heavy when they need to. “Rest of the World” and “Do What You Will” are a punchy, sinewy anthems, while “You Caught My Eye” is full of bluesy grit. A welcome return. GARY GRAFF

And it is fittingly gargantuan. Check it out below, and for tickets, VIP packages, and more info, visit RockOnTheRange.com and Facebook.

Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Bush, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Papa Roach, Volbeat, Cheap Trick, Bullet For My Valentine, Lamb Of God, Skillet, A Day To Remember, Buckcherry, Halestorm, Hollywood Undead, Device (with David Draiman), Steel Panther, All That Remains, Asking Alexandria, Sevendust, Sick Puppies, Pop Evil, In Flames, In This Moment, Black Veil Brides, Clutch, The Sword, Ghost, Red, Biffy Clyro, Deuce, Middle Class Rut, Big Wreck, Otherwise, Red Line Chemistry, Oleander, Young Guns, Thousand Foot Krutch, Mindset Evolution, Tracer, Beware Of Darkness, Heaven’s Basement, American Fangs, Love And Death, Gemini Syndrome

“We’re really looking forward to returning to Rock on the Range with a batch of brand new killer Alice tunes to play for everyone!” says Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.

“Head is back!!,” Korn singer Jonathan Davis comments. “Rock On The Range is going to start it all off!! Get ready, we are going to hit it hard!!”

“Bush are thrilled to be playing Rock On The Range with such great bands,” Bush frontman Gavin Rosdale says. “We look forward to seeing you all out there.”

“This massive lineup has scratched our seven-year itch!” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producer of the event for Right Arm Entertainment. “Getting Soundgarden for their first Ohio play in two decades and having seminal acts Alice in Chains, Korn, Volbeat, and Papa Roach return along with bands new to Rock On The Range that include Smashing Pumpkins and Bush, and everything in between—the spectrum of rock n roll is covered…three days of constant energy. Rock On The Range is truly where rock lives.”

“Our goal with Rock On The Range is to constantly create new and interesting ways to expand the event and give even more value to our fans,” comments Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the event for AEG Live. “In 2013, we’ve added a comedy tent within the site that will be curated by The Funny Bone comedy club. Having a slate of incredible, up-and-coming comedians to riff on the rock experience will be a great change of pace for the weekend. The site layout is also changing dramatically in 2013 to create better event flow, to add more interactive fan activity to the festival, and to allow even more people to experience the higher caliber of talent on the second stage this year.”

Here, Stix Zadinia (pictured left), drummer of the glam-metal band Steel Panther, selects his faves.

5. Max Richter, Recomposed by Max Richter
“This is a classical music album. I put it on whenever I hook up with a bitch that graduated from college–which is rare, but I like to be prepared.”

4. Die Antwoord, Ten$ion
“This is just fucking original shit. It’s not metal but it’s creative as fuck. Plus, it rocks.”

3. Big Wreck, Albatross
“It is a fucking killer rock record. If you don’t buy it, you’re a dick.”

2. Tenacious D, Rize of the Phoenix
“If you don’t understand how real the lyrics to ‘The Roadie’ are, you are not a rock fan.”

1. Three Days Grace, Transit of Venus
“Always killer melodies with powerful riffs.”
