Buckcherry’s new Confessions CD is available now via Century Media Records. Confessions is also streaming online today at AOL’s Noisecreep.com. Check out the album premiere at: www.noisecreep.com/2013/02/19/buckcherry-confessions-album-premiere/.

To celebrate the release of their new album, multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band Buckcherry — Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass) and Xavier Muriel (drums) — will headline three intimate hometown shows at The Viper Room in West Hollywood on March 7, 8 and 9. A limited number of tickets are still available at http://viperroom.com.

“The Viper Room is where it all began for us,” Todd says. “At one point when we would hit the stage in that small club, the crowd sounded like an arena. It was so explosive that we landed a record deal and now 15 years later we’re coming back to do it all again.”

Confessions is Buckcherry’s sixth studio album and first US release for Century Media Records. It was produced by Keith Nelson and Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne) and features eclectic CD artwork by graffiti artist Ewok. The songs on Confessions merge punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks, while the lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

In a recent interview with Loudwire.com, Todd elaborated on the album’s subject matter: “There was a point in my life when I was a youth when I lost a family member and I acted out in my grieving process through the deadly sins, so that’s kind of what the story’s about on the record. I think the seven sins are timeless and that everybody struggles with them in their daily lives all the time.”

The album’s first single, “Gluttony,” is impacting Active Rock in the US and Top 5 at Active Rock in Canada. The provocative video for “Gluttony” — directed by Billy Jayne and filmed in a North Hollywood church — can be seen here:

A two-disc deluxe version of Confessions is available and features the bonus tracks “Give ‘Em What They Want” and “When The Fire Starts.” A bonus DVD includes the “Gluttony” music video and lyric video, behind-the-scenes footage and band interviews from the set of the “Gluttony” video shoot, and “The Story Behind Confessions” featurette. Confessions will be released on vinyl in April.

The track listing for Confessions is as follows:

Gluttony
Wrath
Water

Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Bush, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Papa Roach, Volbeat, Cheap Trick, Bullet For My Valentine, Lamb Of God, Skillet, A Day To Remember, Buckcherry, Halestorm, Hollywood Undead, Device (with David Draiman), Steel Panther, All That Remains, Asking Alexandria, Sevendust, Sick Puppies, Pop Evil, In Flames, In This Moment, Black Veil Brides, Clutch, The Sword, Ghost, Red, Biffy Clyro, Deuce, Middle Class Rut, Big Wreck, Otherwise, Red Line Chemistry, Oleander, Young Guns, Thousand Foot Krutch, Mindset Evolution, Tracer, Beware Of Darkness, Heaven’s Basement, American Fangs, Love And Death, Gemini Syndrome

“We’re really looking forward to returning to Rock on the Range with a batch of brand new killer Alice tunes to play for everyone!” says Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.

“Head is back!!,” Korn singer Jonathan Davis comments. “Rock On The Range is going to start it all off!! Get ready, we are going to hit it hard!!”

“Bush are thrilled to be playing Rock On The Range with such great bands,” Bush frontman Gavin Rosdale says. “We look forward to seeing you all out there.”

“This massive lineup has scratched our seven-year itch!” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producer of the event for Right Arm Entertainment. “Getting Soundgarden for their first Ohio play in two decades and having seminal acts Alice in Chains, Korn, Volbeat, and Papa Roach return along with bands new to Rock On The Range that include Smashing Pumpkins and Bush, and everything in between—the spectrum of rock n roll is covered…three days of constant energy. Rock On The Range is truly where rock lives.”

“Our goal with Rock On The Range is to constantly create new and interesting ways to expand the event and give even more value to our fans,” comments Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the event for AEG Live. “In 2013, we’ve added a comedy tent within the site that will be curated by The Funny Bone comedy club. Having a slate of incredible, up-and-coming comedians to riff on the rock experience will be a great change of pace for the weekend. The site layout is also changing dramatically in 2013 to create better event flow, to add more interactive fan activity to the festival, and to allow even more people to experience the higher caliber of talent on the second stage this year.”

Buckcherry just premiered their provocative music video for “Gluttony,” the first single from their new album, Confessions. You can check it out below.

The clip was directed by Billy Jayne and features the band performing the song in a church filled with people indulging in all types of vices, while the video’s protagonist struggles to overcome his own gluttony.

The Los Angeles-based band will release Confessions February 19 via Century Media Records. “Gluttony” is available for purchase through iTunes now.

Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd explains the inspiration for the “Gluttony” video: “The concept of the video is excess, consuming everything excessively, and moderation is not even in the equation. I’m very familiar with that, and a lot of guys in the band are familiar with that. Because the record is called Confessions, we filmed the video in a church, we got Jesus down there — which is killer — and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and really put in a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them.”

Guitarist Keith Nelson elaborates: “We worked with Billy Jayne, who hasn’t done a lot of music videos. It was really refreshing to see his take on what we’re doing because he totally gets the music, he’s connecting with it, and he’s taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it’s been really positive.”

Buckcherry is on the road headlining North American shows and will join Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming Rebel Soul Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. The first leg of the tour runs through March 2 and band has also been added to the second leg of dates for trek which run from March 18 in Sioux Falls, SD through April 6 in Saginaw, MI.

Jimmy brought a stylistic flare to his performance which helped take the band to a very high level at such a young age. I had the honor of touring with him and found the Rev to be a very warm and caring individual and one hell of a drummer. His music and fans were the most important things to him and no matter how big he became, he never lost track. We will miss Jimmy and all of his crazy antics. Most of all, we are all richer for knowing him. Rest in Peace.”
