Well, it’s not too often you see the words “Chris Brown” and “metal” in same sentence.
Over the weekend the R&B star (pictured left) was seen wearing a leather-studded jacket with patches of hardcore and metal bands like Municipal Waste, D.R.I., Suicidal Tendencies, and Cro-Mags on it.
Municipal Waste tweeted, “For the record. Chris Brown can sport our shit all he wants. We still think he is a fucking moron.”
Brown is no stranger to controversy. In 2009, Brown was charged with felony assault against his then-girlfriend and singer Rihanna.

While trawling through the web, we came across this somewhat disturbing video of New York’s Lavalette doing a full-on pop version of “Malfunction” by influential hardcore thrashers, Cro-Mags. While this strange choice of cover can perhaps be explained by the presence in Lavalette of New York hardcore veteran Mike Dijan, their shimmering, shiny version is virtually unrecognizable to the blistering original.
