Deathcore band Emmure were forced to cut short their show in Moscow, Russia, last night after frontman Frank Palmeri was nearly electrocuted on stage. You can check out the entire scenario in the brief video below, courtesy of PostHardcore TV.
After the band’s shortened set, Palmeri hit the Twitters, telling fans he almost died on stage after 200 volts coursed through his body. Emmure guitarist Mike Mulholland added that the stage was unsafe. He went on to say the band would be back.
Emmure are touring behind their latest album, Slave To The Game, which came out last year.

French metalcore band As They Burn have joined forces with Revolver to premiere the music video for their track “F.R.E.A.K.S”, from their recently released album and Victory Records debut, Will, Love, Life. The song features guest vocals from Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri, who also appears in the clip, and Aaron Matts from Betraying the Martyrs. Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the world’s biggest hard and heavy music touring festival announces its electrifying sixth-year lineup. Artists performing on the 2013 thunderous fest include main stage metal and horror legend, festival closer, Rob Zombie, plus, the triple gold certified Five Finger Death Punch and a monster lineup that includes additional main stage bands Mastodon & Amon Amarth. The festival area is led by stage closers Children of Bodom and Machine Head as well as Behemoth, Job For A Cowboy, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Motionless In White, Butcher Babies, Battlecross, Huntress, Thrown Into Exile and City In The Sea. Four stages will be presented this year for the first time ever and the stages include the Rockstar Energy Drink Main Stage, The Jagermeister Stage, Musician’s Institute Stage, as well as the Sumerian Records/Headbang for the Highway Concourse Stage (local bands performing on the Sumerian Records/Headbang for the Highway Stage will be announced in June).
All tickets go on sale March 22nd at 12:00 Noon local venue time via www.rockstarmayhemfest.com or www.livenation.com. Now, the seven-time Grammy nominated recording artist releases his fifth solo album, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, which streets April 23, and includes the first single, “ Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town,” along with such tracks as “Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga,” “Lucifer Rising,” “Behold! After three gold albums in a row and ten consecutive top ten radio singles, Five Finger Death Punch continue their evolution in 2013 by releasing a new single in early May, followed by their fourth studio album in June. FFDP are set to perform live at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods Awards show in Los Angeles on May 2 and will warm up for Mayhem playing this summer’s most prestigious European festivals, amongst them UK’s Download Festival and Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
The World’s Greatest Freestyle Motocross team The Metal Mulisha is also confirmed to perform on most dates.

It has been about two months since Static-X reunited in early July and bassist Brent Ashley (pictured left) has already left the band.
In a Facebook post, Ashley said he wished it would have “ended differently.” He also Tweeted, “Being the professional I am I wont call anyone out or point fingers as to why I left.. but if ya meet me in person.. feel free to ask.”
This isn’t the first time Static-X has had bassist issues. Original bassist Tony Campos said around the time of the band’s reunion that he has no interest in working with frontman Wayne Static now or in the future. Campos recently played bass on the new Prong record, Carved Into Stone.
A tough job? Maybe. It is unknown who will be playing bass for Static-X’s upcoming tour with Emmure and Ill Nino.

When he’s performing, Emmure vocalist Frankie Palmeri is a pretty hulking presence—equal parts L.A. gangsta and hardcore hero. Instead of spazzing out, he sways rhythmically, bounces assuredly, and saunters back and forth, stopping from time to time to bend over and headbang at half-speed. For some reason, we figured a dude who looks this unfuckwithable onstage—and whose new album is as destructively heavy as Emmure’s latest, Speaker of the Dead (Victory)—would be a big fan of action movies. Turns out we were right.

“I was a listener, but never a huge fan of Mötley Crüe until we were on tour with Hatebreed and Machine Head in Australia last year. We were all on a flight to Adelaide together talking about partying hard and who does it the best, and Jasta suggested that I read The Dirt, an autobiography of the Crüe. Shortly thereafter, I took his advice and read it. My mind was blown. I thought I was cool and could totally hang until I read that book. On the Girls, Girls, Girls tour, they flew to every show and each had their own personalized tray of drugs delivered to them when they reached cruising altitude. It doesn’t get any more intense than that. Mötley Crüe wins.”
