I have been jipped again! The moment we pulled up to the Rev Room, my anus started yelling at me in tongues (thank you Waffle house!) I eagerly ran though the venue asking for the nearest available porcelain princess. Opon arrival…this. Look at that sad ass-gripper. And it’s a fucking Crane bowl! These are the same toilets I’ve seen numerous ass-clowns back in highschool use to give unsuspecting, pre-puberty “Magic the Gathering”-lovers swirlies on a daily basis… I know the crane bowl all to well…Shivan Dragons for life!

“I sat down and released a demon child–a real gargantuan! When I went to wipe, to my dismay, one sheet of fucking TP!!! I had to turtle walk my ass to the stall over and salvage the last remaining one quarter of a roll to get the dingle berries that were starting to form clear.

“And to top it off no plunger..and no lock on the stall door. This is a 3 out of 10. I hope Nashville has me singing some Muddy Waters tomorrow!”

“This is Grand Junction, Colorado. This town has a familiar air to it. Although I have never actually been here, it reminds me of the area of Detroit I currently reside. Which made my constipated bowels scream with joy. I have not dropped a brown demon in a few days so this ‘familiar’ setting was a god send as it gave my brown eye the confidence of needed to get the job done.

“This is not a Kohler bowl (my personal fave) however. It is a American Standand. Which are responsible for the mightiest flushes of a time, in my opinion. Upon entering the stall, I was pleasantly surprised to see actual stall doors, which has been a rarity on the Fate or Chaos tour and being there are 25-plus people on this tour, a secret shit is hard to come by.

“There was no plunger, but plenty of TP. However, it was one ply. Not such a good feeling on a stuffed-up bunghole. All in all, 6.5 out of 10. Pretty average Mesa Theater. Here we come Denver! See ya soon.”

For the show portion, GWAR will be supported by Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer and many more.

GWAR loves barbeque so much that they can show off their newly released barbeque sauce at the event. The band said the formula of GWAR-B-Q is “mostly made out of the blood of really hot chicks. It was a terrible waste of fine ass, but ultimately worth it because this sauce is absolutely delicious.”

The event is scheduled for Saturday August 17 in Richmond, VA.

Here, Dave Brockie a.k.a. Oderus Urungus (pictured left), vocalist of GWAR, selects his faves.

5. Cancer Bats, Dead Set on Living
“We had the pleasure of touring with these Canucks and I liked them so much that I actually got their album. Dirty stoner hatred for angry people, the Bats deliver a solid thrust.”

4. The Cory Smoot Experiment, When Worlds Collide
“Cory Smoot, a.k.a. Flattus Maximus, was an incredible musician, and another metal legend we lost much too young. The final act from the man behind the mask is a dark and brooding metal masterpiece.”

3. Municipal Waste, The Fatal Feast
“The Waste’s Nuclear Blast debut never disappoints as the world’s new Ramones (hopefully without the cancer) continue their reign of fun.”

2. Lamb of God, Resolution
“Resolution is what this band has displayed over their long career in metal, and they continue deliver goods of the highest level. Best of luck, Randy!”

1. Pig Destroyer, Book Burner
“The rise of the Pig continues with this savage return to the primal. Unrelentingly fast, conceptually acute, this record is simply mind-blowing.”

Revolver just returned from Rock & Shock, where we celebrated Halloween (our favorite holiday) and promoted our latest special issue, Rock! Shock! and Horror!, which is available online here.

This yearly horror convention takes place at the DCU Convention Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, and blends horror with music, allowing fans to meet their favorite horror film stars, directors, writers and bands during the day — and rock out at every night to well-known national bands performing next door at The Palladium.

Check out our photos of some of the bands who performed, including Gwar, The Misfits, DevilDriver, Vampires Everywhere! and Shadows Fall. For the full 2012 lineup, check out Rock & Shock’s website here.

Flattus Maximus, died. Today GWAR have announced their new joining member–the long-lost cousin of Flattus, Pustulus Maximus (pictured left), who has a terrible foot condition.

Smoot had played in GWAR since 2002. While touring last year he was found dead by his bandmates. The cause of death was “a coronary artery thrombosis brought about by his pre-existing coronary artery disease.” GWAR decided to retire Flattus Maximus out of respect where his character went “back to the cosmos from whence he came.”

Vocalist Dave Brockie, a.k.a. Oderus Urungus, said, “Naturally we were devastated by the passing of Flattus. But we turned that grief into rage and set about the task of finding a new guitar player.”

Pustulus will join the “Fate or Chaos” tour with DevilDriver, Cancer Bats and Legacy of Disorder.

The concert for the former Gwar guitarist–also known as Flattus Maximus–who passed away last month, will be held at the Canal Club in Richmond, Virginia.

Blythe has been called in following the departures from Cannabis Corpse of vocalist Andy “Weedgrinder” Horn and guitarist Nick “Nikropolis” Poulos.

“Cory was the guitarist in Gwar who passed away recently and was a friend of mine who recorded my guest vocals on the Jasta CD,” Blyhte commented. “He leaves a pregnant wife behind [futureusgallerytheir first child] and a mortgage.

“Cory didn’t have life insurance and his wife is going to need every penny she can get with a kid on the way and bills to pay. Although Gwar is a relatively large band and are doing all they can for Mrs. Smoot, the fact of the matter nobody is rich and times will be hard.

“My friends in Cannabis Corpse were scheduled to play the benefit show, but suddenly are having lineup difficulties. So what the fuck and why not?

“On January 7, Cannabis Corpse WILL play — but I will be singing!

“Come check out some brutal death metal for a good cause! I’ll be working on my death metal voice ’till then, pretending to smoke weed and getting deeper than fuck. I’m quite confident I can properly do the Cannabis Corpse tunes justice AND add something new. Now I need a ‘weed metal’ name!”

All proceeds from the track will got to the Smoot Family Fund. The single will be included on the Dayglo Abortions tribute album, which will be released next year.

Gwar frontman Oderus Urungus had the following to say about the track:

“The Dayglos have always been one of my favorite bands ever since we played a show with them 25 years ago,” he said. “So when we heard about this project we were completely stoked, not just with the idea, but the song selected for us. It pretty much sums up my whole attitude. But I had no idea it would the last time I worked with Cory Smoot in the studio. This track has Cory’s last studio leads, and as usual, they fucking rip. Cory may have left us but his music will live forever. CRANK IT!”
